INDENTITY

Hard to keep the face clear at times when stuck in the shadows. And when you also make sure you did create an artificial image it can be worse.

But some can’t survive without it. I mean they are so messed up in their self image they can’t function right.

So they continually massage this mask they wear and call it truth. Which it never is. Oh they will always have some excuse.

And it may be totally silly, but they will keep up that façade regardless of what happens. And that is the sad part.

Now when this comes in the world of spiritual matters it is always worse. Because people will claim God inspired the behavior.

It might be stupid and illogical, but they will always cling to the same view regardless of how well it works. And no matter who bad things get.

Now a person can be a true believer and even have the Holy Spirit in your life and still cling to wrong images. The Lord will not prevent that problem.

What happens is that as the scriptures declare, ‘the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet.’ Meaning we still have freedom of choice.

And some forget this at times. They will do what they can to avoid the obvious and never get to the root of the truth.

We are all imperfect. No matter our calling we will all have our bias. It will always color our understanding.

And if we allow it to take time to blind us to the things we need to do in our lives then that will happen. And the Lord will let us have our delusions.

This is more about spiritual growth than salvation. But that lack of light will keep us in some kind of dark.

And it will prevent us from truly coming to terms with changes that might make us improve. So we resist.

And it will be the place where we will stay. Even if it is for our entire life. Yep that is the part that is sad.

Now that will never change. Some will die deprive of what should bless. And never even know it.
Until that time in the Lord’s presence when we see truth completely.
