Believers

I’ve been dealing with someone lately who claims to be a Christian. Which doesn’t mean a thing.

Now I should preface my comment by saying this is a person who has willingly lied and engaged in deceptive behaviors. And was caught in the act.

Only problem is that this hasn’t kept the person from continuing to lie. And even after knowing others have seen the truth.

I guess for me the problem is mainly about the idea of this person continuing to claim to be a believer. And to claim they pray and have faith.

It really is a sad situation. Mainly because the person is bringing shame up the Lord’s name.

Now since the person really doesn’t believe in the Lord then they can’t appreciate the danger such behavior causes. And that is the tragedy.

For I can bring dishonor on myself by my sins. And that is what all of us do. However to claim to be a Christian when you have openly sinner against the Lord God is to invite His judgment.

This is the one part the person will never understand. They are so corrupted by their sin and evil they have no conscience.

Now that will mean the person will never give up such evil ways. They will always lie and deceive.

And God will give them the freedom to act in such a way. Because it only adds to their accountability.

But for such people there really is only one destination. Eternal damnation. And that is sad.

For their consciences have been seared and they will always been stuck in the path of evil. Never have a chance at salvation.

Oh in their minds they are fine. And the Lord will even allow them to think they are blessed.

It is all part of having rejected the truth and being surrendered over to a lie. Then they will never even suspect their fate.

Until the stand before the Lord and at last face the consequences of their evil. It will not be told, well done good and faithful servant.
