HER RECLAMATION

She weeps no more
for innocence
lost by lake
ages ago.

Living in shame
from betrayal,
left with child
to raise alone.

Then came
the traveling evangelist
who baptized her
with forgiveness.

Lord bringing
love of her life,
preparing for wedding day,
returning to lake
saying goodbye
unto guilt's waters.
