His Hands

Let the Lord's spirit lift one's soul
about every thought
that brings such waves of sadness.

Accept his grace to touch with love,
and keep his promises,
to wipe away every tear,
healing and forgiving all that was hurt and wrong.

Clinging to his faithful hands by faith
which bring us to places where gold shines in our hearts
as we breathe the pure air of perfect peace
among the stars and angels flights.

For though moments return as ghosts to stalk our moods,
in God enduring embrace,
inhale the incense of forgiveness to make them disappear,
hearing only deep within the still small voice of assurance
about how His love is stronger than any of our weaknesses.

Facing the dawn of his calling in our lives,
his radiant joy shining through us so intensely,
till all we can imagine or see
is how in Heaven's home
one is haloed with his gift of righteousness' crown
till we lose any expression for sorrow's frown.
