Ripples

Eyes engulf in visionary ocean of azure gazes
seeing the ghosts of fingers
who wrote the stars in the heart
before the eternal night consumed.

Breathlessly listening
to each departed soul
spill their haunting memories
into the very core of one's being.

It is all a mystery,
or perhaps a dream,
even the product of too much dinner.

But when the mind is supercharged
by the lightning of curiosity
the spine ripples in awe
over things that might be.
