PAST AND TOMORROW

I think it would be great if all the problems of our past disappeared. Never happens though.

Instead it is part of the garment of life we all wear. And problems that were part of our past, especially those affecting our feelings and thoughts will linger so often into tomorrow.

Is it possible to truly be free of some dark aspect of our lives? To find a way to be cleanse ourselves of all the stains that ruin our thoughts?

I wish the answer was easy. I wish there were ways we could actually be guaranteed to suddenly be healed of every shadow.

However, God doesn't always guarantee that will happen. He doesn't promise life without complaint or problems.

Even the most devout believer is still a sinner. I didn't say that we all admit to such. I have known my share of people who think they don't sin as Christians.

Which is truly sad. For if we can not embrace all we are, how can we ever find the truth? How can God help us see clearly if our eyes are wearing excuse's blindfolds?

I have seen so many with faith and devotion to the lord who sill have some major problem with a given sin in their lives. I didn't say I was any better, just that I accept that sin exists.

Now if we are not going to accept the presence of these problems what will certainly dog us is a future where they get repeated. And you can be sure that sin will be there regardless.

Just a matter of how much we intended to deceive ourselves in the process. Does accepting it mean the sin will go away?

No, for sin will not disappear just because we wish it were so? How do we cope with this issue?

There is only one way? By faith? To face the Lord with truth and see what he is his will. Then we can move ahead with his leading.

Some times it will be a joy to finally stop worrying about being imperfect. Even mores so when others are still do that.

Which is a game nobody wins. It just makes life less full of understanding and not as satisfying.

That is the part that can bless with peace.
