Sojourns Of The Soul

Across the endless landscapes
sprawling before our eyes
stepped in time’s steady
march of pulsing cadence,
we pause during those moments of vivid scenic gazes,
which grab the second with such intensity,
to look deeply and longingly
into life’s many mirrors
appearing in their frames of inner examination,
while seeking the song of self that hums in clarity
of what is our bond and place upon the earth.

They silencing the murmurs
that muttered their confusion
like echoes haunting in the night.

Serenity sweeps through the soul
in shimmer inner sensations,
becoming a journey that redeems and inspires,
so this pilgrimage of mind, heart and spirit
entwines the quintessence
allowing us to learn what dwells within,
finding in the search the truth as a sun,
guiding as a dawn to our own reality.

At last able to see the sky that covers our thoughts
in its many weathering facets,
learning from that canopy that controlled our day
how much we can truly endure
and with it comes the rebirth as the person
who we were always meant to be.
